Is it just me, or have you also been observing greater spiritual attacks in your life and in our church family lately?

What an encouragement it would be to see us come together as a church and pray for each other!! I would challenge you to do so, even if this isn’t usually “your thing”. Whether that’s you above; in a very challenging season, or you are in a season of less attack, we can all do what Ephesians 6 tells us to do in the midst of this invisible, constant battle! The enemy would surely be frustrated at our cohesion and defense against his flaming darts! Would you join us in taking up our shields of faith against his attacks?!

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak. Ephesians 6:10-20

So, as brothers and sisters in our savior Jesus Christ, we will be having a 24-hour day of prayer together on Saturday, February 10th, from wherever you are, at whatever duration time slot you choose. Listed below is the sign-up to put yourself down for a time slot to pray. We would love anyone of any age to sign up to pray! I have listed below some specific things to pray over as a Freshwater family, but feel free to also pray over whatever the Holy Spirit puts on your heart to pray. You may be the only one that knows about a certain circumstance happening in someone’s life; and by all means, pray over that thing!!

Prayer Topics

  1. For our church leadership; staff, elders, deacons, and volunteers; that they would be able to resist the schemes of the devil. That their hearts would be encouraged in the Holy Spirit for the work of the church.

  2. For our church body; unity of mission and purpose, using our individual God-given spiritual gifts to serve the church body, discipline to study God’s word, standing on truth in love, opening our mouths to speak the truth of the gospel.

  3. Health; Those battling cancer of all kinds, the “undiagnosed” issues causing problems for people, physical ailments of chronic pain. For their families as they support them and help them in these medical journeys.

  4. Addictions and temptations; addictions of all kinds… some secret, some seen.

  5. Our families; for purity within our family units, resisting temptations as husbands and wives. That husbands would love their wives like Christ loved the church and that women would joyfully submit and respect their husbands. (Ephesians 5) For our children; that the Lord would save them! As parents; being disciplined to pray over our children for the Lord to do the work in their hearts that they so desperately need!

  6. Freshwater Students; challenges/attacks they face unique to their age group from the enemy.

  7. The new building addition to the church; it’s funding and future uses of the church for God’s glory.

  8. Our Missionary partners and those going on missions; In Haiti, Panama, Kentucky. LFYN + Love JC, and The Coronado family.

  9. Our communities, neighborhoods, workplaces; we all live in different areas with different circles of influence. Is there someone that the Holy Spirit would like you to “open your mouth boldly as we ought to speak” Ephesians 6:19. Pray over them now or pray that the Lord would give you specific opportunity to share the gospel.
