THANKSGIVING BASKET
As Thanksgiving approaches, we’re excited to share that our LoveJC (Jefferson City) initiative is providing 50 Thanksgiving baskets to bless families in need within our community. Each basket will include a fresh turkey from Buttonwood Farms along with all the ingredients needed for a complete, heartfelt Thanksgiving meal.
Here’s what is included:
Fresh turkey
Boxed stuffing mix (e.g., Stove Top or cornbread stuffing)
Instant mashed potatoes
Canned sweet potatoes or yams
Canned corn
Canned green beans
Canned peas or mixed vegetables
Boxed macaroni & cheese
Canned or boxed gravy (turkey or chicken flavor)
Cranberry sauce
Marshmallows
Milk
Eggs
Extras for casseroles/baking:
Cream of mushroom soup (for green bean casserole)
French-fried onions (for topping casseroles)
Canned pumpkin or pumpkin pie mix
Sweetened condensed milk or evaporated milk (for pies or baking)
Boxed cornbread mix
Boxed biscuit or roll mix (like Jiffy or Bisquick)
Pie crusts (shelf-stable or graham cracker type)
Vegetable oil
If you or someone you know could benefit from receiving a Thanksgiving basket, please fill out the attached form by November 16. Spots are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Baskets will be delivered on Monday and Tuesday of Thanksgiving week.
